2025 Gwangju Global Community Support Program - First Half Recruitment

■ Application Period: February 21, 2025 (Fri) ~ March 10, 2025 (Mon)

■ Review Period: March 11, 2025 (Tue) ~ March 12, 2025 (Wed)

■ Final Selection: March 13, 2025 (Thu) - Individual contact and website announcement

■ Orientation for Selected Participants: March 15, 2025 (Sat) at 14:00 *Mandatory Attendance

■ Program Duration: March 18, 2025 (Tue) ~ June 30, 2025 (Mon)

■ Purpose of Support:

• Activation of cultural exchange and communication between local and foreign residents in Gwangju through support for global communities
• Promote stable settlement of foreign residents in the region through participation in the global community

■ Eligibility: Global community teams consisting of local and foreign residents in the city

• Communities formed to promote friendship and mutual exchange between local and foreign residents in Gwangju
• Communities involving foreign students, workers, marriage migrant women, and other foreign and local participants

■ Support Areas:

• Regular meetings and programs for local and foreign communities
• Non-profit events or programs related to culture, arts, sports, exhibitions, festivals, etc.
• Events and programs that are deemed to align with the purpose of this program

Ineligible Expenses for Support:

• Events or programs seeking profit for specific organizations or promoting religious doctrines
• Cash expenditures (donations, encouragement fees, awards, etc.)
• Expenses unrelated to the nature of the meetings
• Payments for community internal relationships
• Labor costs and expenses paid to specific individuals
• Expenses incurred outside of meeting times (including meals)
• Other items or usage deemed inappropriate

■ Support Details:

• Space Support: Free venue rental at the Gwangju International Center (Dong-gu & Gwangsan-gu) (GIC Hall, Lounge, Classroom)
• Budget Support: Financial support for community operations *Up to 1,000,000 KRW, 50% pre-support (after submitting a report), 50% post-support
• Promotion Support: Community promotion through the Gwangju International Residents Center & Gwangju International Center’s promotional channels
